The whole DiscRecord catalog is free to download, reuse and build on, the same way Open Library shares its data with us. A fresh copy is made every day.

Share it with BitTorrent

Open the torrent file or magnet link in any BitTorrent client (qBittorrent, Transmission and so on). Every torrent also lists discrecord.org as a web seed, so it downloads even when nobody else is sharing it. Leave your client running afterwards and you help seed it for others, the way people seed Internet Archive collections.

What's in it

One gzip-compressed file with one release per line, in JSON (JSON Lines). Each line holds the title, format, part, year, publisher, packaging, notes, identifiers (ISBN, barcode, product code, with where each is printed), package contents, lectures or chapters, and links to its images. A shortened example:

It contains only the catalog: no email addresses, accounts, collections or edit history.

The catalog data is dedicated to the public domain under CC0 1.0: use it for anything, no permission or credit needed (a link back is appreciated). Cover scans and other images are not included in the file, only their addresses. The artwork on them belongs to its publishers.
